We're the only Sons of Norway lodge in St. Paul, with around 250 members, and new members joining nearly every month. We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, usually at 7:00PM in First Lutheran Church, 463 Maria Ave. at 8th Street East (map in General Info and in Meetings/ Activities). Guests are always welcome.

If you join directly through us, the cost is only $41.50 per member per year, and $34.50 for the spouse. Please send an E-mail to our lodge to get a better address to send your check than to the church. Or, you can join online with a credit card via the main Sons of Norway site for $41.50 (and $34.50 for the spouse). Young Adults (16-23) can join for $23.00 or even free! (some stipulations apply). In any case, make the check out to "Sons of Norway", and be sure to specify our lodge by name (Synnove-Nordkap) and number (1-008) if you wish to be placed in our lodge rather than in the at-large group without a lodge, which will still entitle you to the Viking Magazine, but not a newsletter from our lodge.

The international home of Sons of Norway (http://www.sofn.com) is right here in the Twin Cities. For news about the other lodges in District 1, see (http://www.sofn-1.com)

Information for Board members only. (Private)

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, usually at 7:00PM in First Lutheran Church, 463 Maria Ave. at 8th St. E. (see map link at left).

Lodge activities include learning more about Norway and its culture, language, crafts, music, food, etc. (Jah, we like to eat!) Although there is usually a brief business meeting, most of our time is devoted to presentations or entertainment relating to Scandinavian culture. Some recent programs have featured Norwegian Christmas traditions, storytelling, and Norwegian music.

We sponsor the Norway food booth at the Festival of Nations each year, and host numerous local events. Click Newsletters link at left for recent issues of our newsletter to see what our lodge is doing currently. (This link is generally more up to date than Recent Activities.)

If you have difficulty opening the calendar, you probably do not have Acrobat Reader installed. It is free, and can be downloaded and installed from their Website: Acrobat Reader. This is safe to do, and is an excellent general tool to have on your PC. It is not uncommon to find Portable Document Format files (.pdf's) as you browse the Internet, and Acrobat is the way to read them.
